Our objective has always been to grow by working with existing and new partners, expanding our geographical boundaries, and refining efficiencies to streamline our project processes. Purch and Holding continues to prioritize partners and clients that share our concern for climate change and the connection between it and the built environment. Resiliency and energy efficiency are ingrained in our rote knowledge which results in better quality and more durable homes for clients.
How we interact with design team/clients
With different client personalities and level of experience with construction, we invest the time to help educate about process, understand timelines, and costs implications while working together to find solutions that adhere to the design intent. Although our preference is to work as a team with the architect, client and us from early design and continue on until completion to achieve the best product in the most cost effective manner to the client, we are experienced to be able to work directly with the client to execute their goals. All front end work helps sets clear expectations and goals so we all can work with minimal hiccups throughout the project.
Types of Contracts
We typically operate on Fixed Bid contracts, but depending on the needs of the project, will work under a Cost Plus (Time and Materials) agreement. There are times where one type is better suited than the other, but understanding the difference with the pros and cons of each is important to deciding which is better for a particular project.
